Due to additional State changes to property tax requirements and subsequent software changes, property tax notices will be delayed. Property tax amounts for 2025 payable in 2026 will be available by the end of January. You are welcome to contact us for more information @ Treasurers Office 719-657-2747.


The Rio Grande County Clerk & Recorder's office will be closed on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Staff will be attending training for the computer upgrade of the motor vehicle system. The office will reopen at 7am on Thursday morning for regular business hours. Leasing Information

Leasing Hangar Tracts

Rio Grande County(RGC) owns the property that includes the Airport runways, ramps, taxiways and hangar tracts. RCG does not currently own or lease any hangar space.

There are hangar owners on the field that lease space in their hangars. 

Hangar tracts are leased at $0.15/square foot for 25 year increments. 

Please contact the Airport Manager for information on available tracts and owners that have space available for lease.
