Patrol Corporal

Under the direct supervision of the patrol sergeant, the corporal is expected to perform law enforcement and crime prevention work which includes controlling traffic flow, enforcing State law and local regulations, perform comprehensive criminal investigations, special assignments, and other duties as directed by the Sheriff.  The corporal is expected to perform some supervisory duties in the absence of the sergeant, but will not conduct employee evaluations or issue corrective or disciplinary actions.  The corporal is a work/team leader with regard to direction of field activities, training, and counseling subordinates with regard to performance.

Minimum age of 21 years, High School Diploma/GED, background check and drug test, valid Colorado driver’s license upon employment, POST Certified, current first aid/CPR certification or obtain within 3 months of hire and 3+ years of law enforcement experience.

DETENTION DISPATCH SERGEANT 

Trains, assigns, schedules, supervises day-to-day operations and formally evaluates the work of detention/dispatch deputies.  Participates in jail operations as required.  Inspects the jail for proper security and supervises the proper maintenance of jail facilities.  Assists in establishing and implementing systems and procedures for the booking, care, detention, release and transport of prisoners.

ROAD and BRIDGE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR I

The primary job is driving a truck but operates various pieces of equipment proficiently as needed.  Operates heavy equipment for digging, opening ditches, grading shoulders-slopes-rough grading.  Clearing right-of-way, trenching, filling, back filling and snow removal.  Operates asphalt equipment, loads and places sand, earth, rock and asphalt among other duties.  

Requirements include High School Diploma or GED; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A CDL Class A HazMat and Tanker Endorsement Driver's license is required.  

Background check and drug test.

Employments Benefit Unit Case Manager / QA Technician

The Employment Case Manager is responsible for ongoing case management.  This position requires a thorough knowledge of TANF rules and regulations and other assistance programs. The Employment Case Manager will complete an ongoing assessment to determine the needs of the family and the individual and will make appropriate referrals.  The case manager and the participant work together in developing a “Road Map to Employment” identifying strengths and challenges which results in a detailed plan of action to meet these needs, set goals, and find necessary resources to meet the goals. 

The Quality Assurance Technician conducts monthly case reviews per program regulations. Conducts site visits to but is not limited to day care facilities, residences, employers, financial institutions, EBT vendors, etc.  Reviews, applies and discusses changes in program regulations. Reviews activity reports on a regular basis. Takes appropriate action on report information, including but not limited to requesting case changes, contacting other County, State, or Federal entities, and requesting additional information from a variety of sources. Participates in eligibility meetings as scheduled regarding rules, procedures and processes. Participates in County policy maintenance.

Participates in ongoing regulation, new technician, and fraud trainings.

Region 18 Opioid Settlement Governance Council Peer Support Professional Coordinator

The Position will facilitate the Region 18 Opioid Settlement Governance Councils Peer Professional subcommittee and serve as the Coordinator.  The position will work closely with the Chair and Council Coordinator.  This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing the priorities of the Region 18 Opioid Settlement Governance Council. 

 

This position includes planning, facilitating and implementing the activities of the Peer Professional Subcommittee.  The position requires excellent communication skills as the successful candidate will be responsible for engaging peers and serving as a liaison between peers and the Council.  The position will exemplify the characteristics of a collaborative, innovative, and resilient work culture alongside with the Council. 

 

This is a Contracted Position, average 20 hours a month - not to exceed 240 hours a year, $20/hour with no benefits.  Position is Open Until Filled.
