Adult Protection | Rio Grande County

Rio Grande County Offices will be closed in observance of New Year's Day on Thursday, January 1, 2026. Offices will resume normal hours of operation on Friday, January 2, 2026.

The Rio Grande County Clerk & Recorder's office will be closed on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Staff will be attending training for the computer upgrade of the motor vehicle system. If you or someone you know has a concern regarding the safety, protection, or exploitation of an adult please call 1-844-264-5437. If it is an emergency outside of business hours please call law enforcement. Law enforcement will in turn contact our after hours worker.
